Rescuer's Helper

We are a group of like-minded folks based in Southern California.
We provide assistance to animal rescue groups and individual rescuers.
We want to help true animal rescuers who are dedicated folks.

Basic Needs Foundation, Inc. (B.N.F. ) is a nonprofit organization. We provide food relief for homeless people with pets, animal rescue community and feral cats who are facing crisis due to disasters, both natural and economic in Los Angeles County, Southern California.

Basic Needs Foundation finds homes for pets, when their homeless owners can no longer take care of them.

Basic Needs Foundation, Inc. is currently helping:

Twenty-three homeless families who live in their vehicles with their kids & pets.

Feeding over 2,500 feral cats through local feeders.

Pet food for independent and small dog rescue groups.

Emo: 5-year old male chi/bichon mix 12 lbs, spayed, house-trained, gets along with other dogs, cats and kids.

Emo is deaf, but knows basic commands. He can get lost easy, if you don't train him to folow a certain smell, or familiar odor in your home, which he can use to track down. His elderly homeless owner died recently.

Ethan: 4-year old male pit mix, 45 lbs, neutered, house-trained, knows basic commands, gets along with other submissive dogs, NO cats.

Ethan was living with his homeless owner with a small kid in a van for 16-month. We moved the family to a small apartment, Ethan was surrender to us to find a good home with yard.
